This tool works with every major trading platform. Since candlestick OHLC data, EMA values, and RSI values are universal standards, you can read the required data from any platform and input it here. The table below is not exhaustive if your platform displays OHLC candle data and allows you to add EMA and RSI indicators, it is fully compatible with this tool.

Indicators You Need to Install on Your Platform

Before using this tool, make sure the following indicators are active on your trading chart. These are all standard built-in indicators available on every platform no special downloads are required for the core set. You will read values from these indicators and enter them into the Signal Engine.

EMA Fast Period
An Exponential Moving Average set to a fast period (recommended: 8 or 9). This tracks short-term price momentum. Apply it directly on the main price chart and note its current value at the last closed candle.
Required
EMA Medium Period
A second EMA set to a medium period (recommended: 21). This represents the intermediate trend. Use a different color from the Fast EMA so both lines are clearly distinguishable on the chart.
Required
EMA Slow Period
A third EMA set to a slow period (recommended: 50). This represents the dominant long-term trend. The alignment of all three EMA lines Fast, Medium, Slow is the strongest scoring factor in the tool's engine.
Required
RSI (Period 14)
The standard Relative Strength Index with period 14. Applied in the sub-window below your main chart. You will need the RSI value from the last closed candle (C-1) and the candle before it (C-2) to enable divergence detection.
Required
OHLC Data Readout
Enable your platform's Data Window, crosshair, or hover tooltip. This shows the Open, High, Low, Close values for any candle you point at. You need OHLC data for the last 5 closed candles plus the current live candle.
Required
Support & Resistance
Use a horizontal line tool or an S/R indicator to identify the most recent swing high (Previous Resistance) and swing low (Previous Support) on your chart. These are optional but significantly improve the tool's S/R analysis output.
Optional
EMA Period Matching: The EMA periods you apply on your chart must exactly match the Fast, Medium, and Slow period numbers you enter inside the Signal Engine tool. If your chart shows EMA-8, EMA-21, EMA-50 the same values must be set in the tool before you click Analyze.

How to Add Indicators Step by Step per Platform
MT4 / MT5
TradingView
cTrader
Web Broker
1
Open your chart on the desired pair and timeframe. Go to Insert → Indicators → Trend → Moving Average. In the settings window, set MA Method to Exponential. Enter your Fast period (e.g. 8), assign a color (e.g. yellow), and click OK. Repeat this step two more times to add the Medium EMA (e.g. 21, blue) and Slow EMA (e.g. 50, red). All three will appear as lines directly on your price chart.
2
Add the RSI indicator: go to Insert → Indicators → Oscillators → Relative Strength Index. Set the period to 14. Click OK. The RSI will appear in a separate sub-window below the main chart with default overbought level at 70 and oversold at 30.
3
Enable the Data Window by pressing Ctrl + D or going to View → Data Window. When you hover your cursor over any candle on the chart, the Data Window shows that candle's Open, High, Low, Close along with the current EMA values and RSI value at that bar. This is where you will read all the data to enter into the Signal Engine.
4
Save this setup as a template: right-click the chart and choose Template → Save Template. Name it SignalEngine. The next time you open any new chart, right-click and load this template to apply all three EMAs and RSI instantly without repeating the setup.
1
On TradingView, click the Indicators button at the top toolbar (or press / on your keyboard). In the search box, type EMA and select Exponential Moving Average. In the settings, enter your Fast period (e.g. 8) and choose a color. Add the indicator. Repeat this two more times for periods 21 and 50, each with a different color.
2
Search for RSI in the Indicators panel and select Relative Strength Index. Set the length to 14. The RSI sub-panel will appear at the bottom of the chart. When you hover over a candle, the RSI value for that bar is shown in the top-left corner of the RSI sub-panel.
3
To read OHLC values: hover your mouse over any candle. TradingView automatically displays that candle's Open, High, Low, Close and volume in the top-left corner of the main chart area. The EMA values for that bar also appear in the chart legend. Use this to collect the data you need for the last 5 closed candles.
4
Save this layout: click the Layout name at the top of the TradingView interface, then choose Save as Template. This allows you to apply the same full indicator setup all three EMAs plus RSI to any new chart or pair with a single click.
1
In cTrader, right-click anywhere on the chart and select Indicators, or click the indicator icon in the chart toolbar. Search for Exponential Moving Average. Add it three separate times for periods 8, 21, and 50 each with a distinct color so they are easy to read on the chart.
2
Search for and add the Relative Strength Index indicator with period 14. It will appear as a sub-panel below the main chart. Hover over any candle the RSI value for that candle will be shown in the indicator legend at the top of the sub-panel.
3
Enable the crosshair cursor from the chart toolbar. In cTrader, clicking on a candle or hovering with the crosshair active shows the OHLC values for that specific bar either in a tooltip near the candle or in the top data bar of the chart. Use this to read your 5 candle values.
4
To save your setup in cTrader, right-click the chart and look for a Template or Chart Template option. Save the current chart layout with all indicators applied so you can load it on any other chart instantly.
1
On any broker web trading platform, locate the Indicators or Studies button in the chart toolbar. This is typically represented by an icon that looks like a graph or waveform. Click it and search for Moving Average or EMA. Add it three times with periods 8, 21, and 50 using different colors for each.
2
From the same Indicators menu, search for and add the RSI indicator with period 14. The RSI sub-panel will appear below the chart. When you hover over a candle, the RSI value for that candle will be shown in the sub-panel legend or a tooltip.
3
To read OHLC values on a web broker chart, hover your cursor over the candle you need. Most web platforms display a data tooltip or update the information bar at the top of the chart showing Open, High, Low, Close for the candle your cursor is on. Use this to record the values for the last 5 closed candles.
4
If your broker's web charting tool is limited and does not show accurate indicator values, you can use a free TradingView account at tradingview.com to read all indicator data for the same pair and timeframe, then execute your trades through your broker platform separately.

Recommended Indicator Settings by Timeframe

The same three EMAs and RSI-14 are used across all timeframes. The recommended EMA period values below are optimized for each timeframe's speed and volatility. You can use these as your starting configuration inside the Signal Engine tool as well as on your trading chart. Whatever periods you choose, ensure they match between your chart and the tool's EMA period fields.

TimeframeFast EMAMedium EMASlow EMARSI PeriodRecommended Use
M1 1 Minute8132114Scalping only. Signals are fast and noisy. Use only when the score is very strong (±10 or above) and the market is in a clear trending session.
M5 5 Minutes8213414Short-term scalping and quick intraday entries. Better signal quality than M1. Confirm direction with M15 trend before entering.
M15 15 Minutes8215014Intraday trading. The most commonly used timeframe with this tool. Good balance of signal frequency and reliability. Align with H1 direction.
M30 30 Minutes9215014Intraday and short swing. Fewer signals than M15 but higher quality. Best for traders who prefer to hold positions for 1–4 hours.
H1 1 Hour9215014Intraday swing trading. Strong, reliable signals. Ideal for end-of-session setups and London/New York session trades.
H4 4 Hours9215514Swing trading. Very reliable signals with minimal noise. Best used to define the primary trend bias for all lower timeframe entries.
D1 Daily10215514Position and swing trading. Long-term trend direction. Use D1 signal output to determine which direction to only take trades on lower timeframes.
W1 Weekly10215014Macro trend analysis only. Not used for direct trade entries. Use to understand the big-picture market direction over weeks and months.
Always match EMA periods between your chart and the tool. Before clicking Analyze, verify that the Fast, Medium, and Slow period numbers in the Signal Engine match exactly what you have applied on your trading chart. Mismatched periods will produce incorrect signal readings.

How to Enter Data & Run the Analysis
1
Select your Trading Pair from the category tabs (Forex, Indices, Crypto, Commodities) and then click your specific pair. The tool automatically loads the correct pip size, decimal precision, SL distance, and TP targets for that pair.
2
Select your Timeframe using the timeframe buttons. Choose the same timeframe that is currently active on your trading chart.
3
Set EMA Periods in the tool to match your chart. Enter the same Fast, Medium, and Slow period values. Then, from your trading platform's Data Window, read the current EMA values at the last closed candle (C-1) and enter them into the EMA value input fields in the tool.
4
Enter OHLC data for the last 5 closed candles (C-1 to C-5): starting from the most recently closed candle (C-1), hover over it in your chart and note the Open, High, Low, and Close values. Move back one candle at a time and collect the same data for C-2, C-3, C-4, and C-5. Enter each set into the corresponding input row.
5
Enter the Live Candle (the candle currently forming): read its current Open, High, Low, and last traded price from your platform and enter them. This is optional but enables real-time candle direction monitoring and adds to the signal score.
6
Enter RSI values: from your RSI sub-window, read the RSI value at the last closed candle (C-1) and enter it in the RSI field. Then read the RSI value from the candle before that (C-2) and enter it in the Previous RSI field. Both values together enable divergence detection.
7
Enter Previous Support & Resistance (optional): identify the most recent significant swing high above the current price (Previous Resistance) and the most recent swing low below price (Previous Support) from your chart. Enter those levels to enhance the S/R analysis output.
8
Click the ANALYZE button. The engine processes all inputs instantly and displays the complete result across the analysis tabs Signal Summary, EMA Analysis, RSI Analysis, Candle Analysis, S/R Zones, Trade Plan, and Price Level Map.
08
Signal Score System ±14 Point Engine

The tool uses a ±14 scoring engine. Positive scores point toward BUY; negative scores toward SELL. The higher the absolute value of the score, the stronger the signal confidence and the higher the probability. Scores near zero indicate conflicting or neutral market conditions in these cases, it is best to wait.

Tips & Best Practices
Always enter data after candle close. C-1 data should only be entered after that candle has fully closed on your chart. Reading EMA or RSI from a candle that is still forming will produce inaccurate values and an unreliable signal.
Check the higher timeframe first. Before taking any signal on M15 or M30, run the analysis on H1 or H4 to understand the primary trend direction. Only take BUY signals if the higher timeframe is also bullish, and only take SELL signals if the higher timeframe is also bearish.
Move Stop Loss to Breakeven after TP1 is hit. Once the market reaches your first take profit level, move your Stop Loss to the entry price. This removes all remaining risk from the trade while keeping TP2 and TP3 open for further profit.
Act only on STRONG or MODERATE signals. A WAIT signal means the market conditions are mixed or unclear. It is better to skip the trade and wait for a cleaner, higher-scoring setup than to force an entry on a weak reading.
Never risk more than 1–2% of your account per trade, regardless of how strong the signal score appears. This tool is an analytical aid it does not guarantee outcomes. Proper risk management is always the trader's own responsibility.
